It is also necessary to have a contract in place, make sure that you either read through & completely understand the terms of the services provided, or that you have your lawyer review the contracts as a precaution. This contract should outline the duties of you as the AFH facility/employer, the agency responsibilities and the caregiver and the caregiver compensation.
ONCE YOU'VE FOUND A FEW POTENTIAL CAREGIVERS, BE SURE TO INTERVIEW THEM:
Ask about their experience, qualifications, and availability.
Also be sure to ask about their rates and agree on their compensation during the interview process.
Caregivers should be able to provide you with a list of references that you can contact.
Check references and reviews.
Finally, be sure to trust your instincts when making a decision.
